Annie's Wishes

One day, my granddaughter shared with me she was being bullied at school. I had noticed she had become withdrawn and not her usual bubbly version. The following day, after a restless sleep worrying about her, and wondering if I could write a book about positive affirmations to build self-esteem, self-love and confidence for children and tweens, Annie's Wishes was downloaded into my heart, while I was having a shower, as all my books are.

Hristina Mazneska, who had illustrated Mother Earth, Why Are You Crying? began the illustrating. Because of unforeseen circumstances, her mentor Filip Trajkovski was able to complete the illustrations. Sometimes, things are meant to happen this way, as he added the magic. I also decided to make this book of mixed race...which is quite unusual, yet I felt not so unusual these days.

It soon because apparent to me, as adults found comfort and inspiration from Annie's journey through the woods, where she meets up with the seven fairies of wishes, this book is not only for the 'little ones'.

My drear child, always know how special you are...all you need to do is to believe.
